Gregory Design Resources, Inc. 7007 College Blvd., Suite 700 Overland Park, KS 66221 RE: The tariff classification of a man’s padded sleeveless jacket from China Dear Mr. Gregory: In your letter dated March 23, 2006, you requested a classification ruling. The sample submitted, style number J5-271, is a man’s hip-length padded sleeveless jacket. The garment is constructed of a shell composed of a woven 228T ripstop 100% nylon taslan fabric that is quilted to a nonwoven polyester batting fill. The garment is lined with a woven 210T 100% nylon fabric. The padded sleeveless jacket has oversized armholes, a stand-up collar, a full front opening secured by a zipper closure that extends to the top of the collar and an overlapping flap that covers the zipper area.
