Resimene 2040 is a styrene-allyl alcohol modified methylated melamine-formaldehyde resin solution composed of approximately 83-87 percent methylated melamine-formaldehyde resin, 13-17 percent ethanol and 0.15 percent formaldehyde, by weight.

Dear Ms. Pierce: In your letter dated March 5, 1999, you requested a tariff classification ruling. Based on the technical literature submitted, Resimene 797 is a resinous polyol modified methylated melamine-formaldehyde resin solution composed of approximately 72-76 percent methylated melamine-formaldehyde resin, 16-20 percent styrene-allyl alcohol resin, 6-10 percent ethanol and 0.2 percent formaldehyde, by weight. Resimene 2040 is a styrene-allyl alcohol modified methylated melamine-formaldehyde resin solution composed of approximately 83-87 percent methylated melamine-formaldehyde resin, 13-17 percent ethanol and 0.15 percent formaldehyde, by weight.
