NY 814051 SEPTEMBER 7, 1995 CLA-2-61:S:N5:358 814051 CATEGORY: Classification TARIFF NO.: 6111.20.6040 Ms. Cecilia A. Cormier Hasbro, Inc. 1027 Newport Avenue P.O. Box 1059 Pawtucket, Rhode Island 02862-1059 RE: The tariff classification and status under the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), of infants' bibs from Mexico, Article 509. Dear Ms. Cormier: In a letter sent to us from your office dated June 7, 1995, it was stated that infants' bibs, Product numbers 1811 and 1080, would be wholly manufactured in Mexico. We refer to Nafta ruling letter NY 811567, issued to you from New York on July 12, 1995, which indicated that the duty rate for the bibs should be free. In a subsequent telephone conversation with you on August 21, 1995, it was brought to our attention the fact that the duty rate indicated was incorrect. The correct rate of duty for the infants' bibs should be 6.2% ad valorem. All other information remains the same. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused. Copies of this supplemental ruling are being provided to all ports where entry of this merchandise will be made. A copy of this letter should be given to your broker and all members of your staff who are involved with clearing merchandise through Customs. If you have any questions pertaining to this matter, please contact National Import Specialist Bruce Kirschner at (212) 466-5865. Sincerely, Jean F. Maguire Area Director New York Seaport
