A sample of the Stapler, SKU #983758, was submitted and is being returned upon your request. The merchandise under consideration is a stapler, SKU #983758, which measures approximately 4 ½” in length (front to back) by 2” in height (top to base), by 1” in width, and has a plastic surface with a steel interior. The stapler is designed with a base for use on a table or desktop, and is not handheld or directed. The applicable subheading for the Stapler, SKU #983758, will be 8472.90.9080, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS), which provides for "Other office machines (for example, hectograph or stencil duplicating machines, addressing machines, automatic banknote dispensers, coin-sorting machines, coin-counting or wrapping machines, pencil-sharpening machines, perforating or stapling machines): Other: Other: Other." The rate of duty will be 1.8 percent ad valorem. Duty rates are provided for your convenience and are subject to change.
