It consists of a plastic lamp base in the shape of a small body measuring approximately 8½ inches tall and 5½ inches wide at its widest point. In the belly section of the base is a small four character digital alarm clock display. At the top of the base is an on/off rocker switch and an Edison base lamp-holder rated for a 25 watt (W) E26 Type G lamp. The back of the lamp body features a speaker, MP 3 audio input socket and a six foot power cord with a two-prong polarized plug rated for 120 volts (V). Push-button controls for operating the alarm clock are located on the arms of the lamp body. A plastic drum-shaped shade/diffuser measuring approximately 6 inches tall with an outside diameter of 6 inches attaches to the top of the lamp body and resembles the head of Iron Man. In the bottom of the base is an access panel that houses three “AA” size batteries which provides backup power for the clock functions.

Dear Mr. Kauffman: In your letter dated June 28, 2010, you requested a tariff classification ruling on behalf of your client, Funko II LLC. The merchandise under consideration is the Iron Man Lamp/Alarm Clock bedside lamp. A sample of the lamp was submitted with your ruling request. The sample is identified as E316268, Model 1998/IN248. The Iron Man lamp is a child’s bedside or desk lamp designed in the image of Iron Man.
