The ArialPhone is composed of two basic sets of hardware: a Base Station (BS) and an Earset (ES). The ArialPhone expands the functionality of the standard line telephone and is designed for the small or home office. The Base Station (BS) utilizes 900 MHz spread spectrum technology and connects to 1.) the Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN) by a standard phone line 2.) AC power via a standard power adapter and 3.) a computer through a standard USB connection. It also contains two battery-charging slots for recharging the batteries used by the Earset (ES). The ES is powered by one of the two Lithium Ion Polymer batteries and has only one control feature, an action button that alerts the ArialPhone system to act upon the next spoken command. The ArialPhone is designed to be worn on the head and is not designed to be stationed on the BS other than to be parked once with the base station to register it with the BS. Both unit contain radio frequency receivers, transmitters and amplifiers.

The merchandise is described in your letter as a ArialPhone voice based wireless earset communications device.
