As indicated by the submitted information, the “Jack Poster” is an adjustable unit for the support of flooring and other heavy objects. It consists of two sets of tubing with threaded shafts, collars, and stamped plates for top and bottom support. You also inquire as to the classification of spare parts, specifically, a package containing a collar, shaft, two stamped plates and two steel pins, and a collar and shaft only. The applicable subheading for the “Jack Poster” will be 7308.40.0000, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTS), which provides for equipment for scaffolding, shuttering, propping, or pit propping. The rate of duty will be 1.7 percent ad valorem.
