You submitted descriptive literature on 5 samples of synthetic treated chopped textile fibers. The chopped textile fibers have been cut to sizes between 3 and 3.5 mm lengths. All of the chopped fibers are coated in an adhesive compound of Resorcinol, Formalin and Latex (RFL) this product is not considered rubberized within the meaning of Note 4(a) to Chapter 40, of the Harmonized Tariff Schedules of the United States (HTSUS). RFL is used to enhance the fibers ability to adhere to the rubber. Sample one is 6529 Chopped Conex 3mm, this is described as a treated chopped meta-aramid fiber measuring 2.2 decitex and 3 mm in length. Sample two is Chopped Kevlar 3.5 mm, this is described as a treated chopped para-aramid fiber measuring 3340 decitex and 3.5 mm in length. Sample three is Treated Chopped Aramid Twaron 3.5 mm, this is described as a treated chopped para-aramid fiber measuring 3360 decitex and 3.5 mm in length. Sample four is Chopped Conex R 2D 3 mm, this is described as a treated chopped meta-aramid fiber measuring 2.2 decitex and 3 mm in length. Sample five is Chopped Nylon 6522 R 6D 3 mm, this is described as a treated polyamide fiber measuring 2100 decitex and 3 mm in length.
