The expandable mechanism assembly is designed for use in the operation of wall partitions. It is used to contract and expand the wall panel in order to create a seal to the fixed wall to minimize sound transmission. The assembly is made of 100% metal. The applicable subheading for the expandable mechanism assembly will be 8479.90.9496, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS), which provides for “Machines and mechanical appliances having individual functions, not specified or included elsewhere in this chapter; parts thereof: Parts: Other: Other: Other”. The rate of duty will be free. Duty rates are provided for your convenience and are subject to change.
