The subject product, Pioglitazone Tablets, is a medicinal preparation containing, Pioglitazone Hydrochloride (CAS-112529-15-4), an anti-diabetic agent, as the active ingredient. It is indicated for the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus and it will be imported in 15 mg, 30 mg and 45 mg tablets. The applicable subheading for the Pioglitazone tablet imported in dosage form will be 3004.90.9190, HTSUS, which provides for “Medicaments … consisting of mixed or unmixed products for therapeutic or prophylactic uses, put up in measured doses … or in forms or packings for retail sale: Other: Other: Other: Other.” The rate of duty will be free.Duty rates are provided for your convenience and are subject to change.
