Dear Mr. Rosenberg: In your letter dated June 19, 2013 you requested a tariff classification ruling on behalf of your client, Magical Butter.com. A representative sample was included with your request and will be returned to you. The product to be imported is described as a hot/cold immersion blender with interchangeable blades, model number 741200. Measuring approximately 12 ½ inches in height, this blender has a 5 cup capacity stainless steel pitcher which incorporates a concealed heating element. The unit’s cover has a 6 inch power shaft which holds the desired blade. This electrothermic appliance is designed for a variety of uses such as making soup, mayonnaise, milk and yogurt, extracting nutrients from plants and infusing butter and oils. You state that this unit will be available in either a plastic or stainless steel exterior finish.
