The subject product, Metaxalone Tablets in 800 mg, is a skeletal muscle relaxant containing Metaxalone, as the active ingredient. It is indicated as an adjunct to rest, physical therapy, and other measures for the relief of discomforts associated with acute, painful musculoskeletal conditions. The applicable subheading for the Metaxalone Tablet imported in dosage form will be 3004.90.9140, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS), which provides for "Medicaments … consisting of mixed or unmixed products for therapeutic or prophylactic uses, put up in measured doses … or in forms or packings for retail sale: Other: Other: Other: Medicaments primarily affecting the central nervous system: Other." The rate of duty will be free. Duty rates are provided for your convenience and are subject to change.
