Product description

The merchandise in question is the ACOM automatic HF linear radio frequency amplifier, (ACOM Model: 2000A). The radio frequency (RF) unit measures 17 ¼ inches in width by 7 inches in height by 17 ¾ inches in depth. It comes with a remote control unit (RCU) that measures 5 ¼ inches in width by 6 ¾ inches in depth and 1 inch in height. This RF amplifier is used by amateur licensed ham radio operators. The ACOM 2000A includes both fully automatic tuning and digital control capabilities. This device delivers maximum legal power in all modes and operates on all HF amateur bands. The remote control unit provides flexible monitoring of all amplifier operating parameters. The ACOM 2000A only regenerates/amplifies the signal in the HF amateur radio range it does not generate a signal. The amplifier is used as part of a 2-way radio to increase the power of transmissions on bands designated for radio amateur service only. Amateur radio uses a 2-way radio transmission to transmit voice (radio-telephony), Morse code (radio-telegraphy) and data (FSK, PSK and RTTY).
