Sodium Erythorbate and Erythorbic Acid are both non-aromatic lactones and indicated for use as antioxidants in processed foods. The applicable subheading for Erythorbic Acid will be 2932.20.5050, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS), which provides for Heterocyclic compounds with oxygen hetero-atom(s) only: Lactones: Other: Other: Other. The rate of duty will be 3.7 percent ad valorem. The applicable subheading for Sodium Erythorbate will be 2932.20.5030, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS), which provides for Heterocyclic compounds with oxygen hetero-atom(s) only: Lactones: Other: Other: Sodium Erythorbate. The rate of duty will be 3.7 percent ad valorem. Duty rates are provided for your convenience and are subject to change.
