Dear Ms. Pendris: In your letter dated December 1, 2011, you requested a tariff classification ruling. The sample you have submitted is being returned as requested. The submitted sample, item number 40240, is described as a Sonic Whisk. The retail packaging indicates that it is used to whisk, whip and froth different types of food and drink. This hand-operated tool consists of a stainless steel and ABS handle attached to a stainless steel whisk with a silicone tip.
