Chillicothe, MO 64601 RE: The tariff classification of gloves from China. Dear Ms. Davis: In your letter dated November 15, 2011, you requested a tariff classification ruling. The sample submitted will be returned. Style 2201 is a pair of men’s clute cut work gloves constructed of 65% polyester and 35% cotton woven fabric. The gloves feature a rib-knit cuff. You state that Style 2201 will be available in children’s sizes. The applicable subheading for Style 2201 will be 6216.00.5420, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS), which provides for Gloves, mitten and mitts: other: of man-made fibers: other: without fourchettes . . . other. The duty rate will be 20.7 cents per kilogram plus 10.4 percent ad valorem. Duty rates are provided for your convenience and are subject to change. The text of the most recent HTSUS and the accompanying duty rates are provided on World Wide Web at http://www.usitc.gov/tata/hts/. This ruling is being issued under the provisions of Part 177 of the Customs Regulations (19 C.F.R. 177).
