The product is described as dried noodles composed of potato starch (49 percent), soybean milk (31 percent), green mung bean starch (18 percent), “yarn powder” and vitamin E. The noodles will be imported in plastic bags containing 15 grams net weight of pasta and will be repackaged into individual serving Styrofoam cups with a noodle soup mix. The applicable subheading for the dried noodles will be 1901.90.9095, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS), which provides for food preparations of flour, groats, meal, starch or malt extract…not elsewhere specified or included…other…other. The rate of duty will be 6.4 percent ad valorem. Duty rates are provided for your convenience and are subject to change. This merchandise is subject to The Public Health Security and Bioterrorism Preparedness and Response Act of 2002 (The Bioterrorism Act), which is regulated by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
