Dear Ms. Knerr: In your letter dated October7, 2009, on behalf of Blue Star Imports, L. P., you requested a tariff classification ruling. The sample will be returned to you. Style 7919 is a women’s headband made of woven 100 percent cotton fabric with an overlay of glass beads. The headband is approximately 1 inch wide with two rows of elastic at the back. The applicable subheading for the Style 7919 will be 6217.10.8500, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS), which provides for "Other made up clothing accessories; parts of garments or of clothing accessories… Accessories: Other: Headbands, ponytail holders and similar articles." The rate of duty will be 14.6 percent ad valorem. Duty rates are provided for your convenience and are subject to change.
