Dear Ms. Kessens: In your letter dated December 30, 2014, you requested a tariff classification ruling. The sample will be returned to you, as requested. The submitted sample, identified as SKU 15498001, contains two elasticized headbands constructed of 86% nylon woven fabric and 14% rubber. The circular headbands measure approximately 1 inch in width and are printed with reflective tape. The applicable subheading for SKU 15498001 will be 6217.10.8500, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS), which provides for Other made up clothing accessories; parts of garments or clothing accessories, other than those of heading 6212 Accessories: Other: Headbands, ponytail holders and similar articles. The rate of duty will be 14.6 percent ad valorem. Duty rates are provided for your convenience and are subject to change.
