The merchandise subject to this ruling is an Antenna Distribution System. Your letter states that the Antenna Distribution System is currently manufactured by Shure in Wheeling, IL. Your letter also states that you will encounter future entries of this merchandise. However, your letter did not specify the country or countries that future importation of this merchandise will come from. Therefore, we have not specified a particular country or countries that future importations of this merchandise will be coming from. Subheading 8517.69.0000 provides for apparatus for transmission or reception of voice, images or other data. However, the Antenna Distribution System is apparatus which is capable of transmitting and receiving voice, images or other data, which is classifiable under subheading 8517.62.00. As such, subheading HTSUS 8517.69.0000 is inapplicable. The applicable subheading for the Antenna Distribution System (Shure Model UA 845 UHF) will be 8517.62.0050, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS), which provides for “Machines for the reception, conversion and transmission or regeneration of voice, images or other data, including switching and routing apparatus: Other”. The rate of duty will be free. Duty rates are provided for your convenience and are subject to change.
