You will be importing a dish towel. A photo of the towel was submitted with your request. The towel will be made from 100 percent cotton woven fabric. It will measure 20 x 29 inches and all of the edges are hemmed. The non-pile towel will feature a jacquard woven center stripe with a logo. In this case the logo on the photo reads “Macy’s New York”. The applicable subheading for the towel will be 6302.91.0035, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS), which provides for bed linen, table linen, toilet linen and kitchen linen: other: of cotton… other: towels: jacquard figured. The duty rate will be 9.2 percent ad valorem. Duty rates are provided for your convenience and are subject to change. Textile category designation 363 from China falls within the recently announced quantitative restrictions between the United States and China, commonly referred to as China Safeguards or Safeguard Quotas.
