DC Williams & Associates 8 Brook Lane Cortlandt Manor, NY 10567 RE: The tariff classification of men’s woven pants from China Dear Mr. Williams: In your letter dated January 25, 2008, you requested a tariff classification ruling on behalf of Kindnoon Offshore Trading Co., Ltd. As requested, your sample will be returned. The submitted sample, which you identify as “K&H X-System Pants” are a pair of men’s pants constructed from 100% nylon woven ripstop fabric in a printed camouflage design. The pants have a partially elasticized waistband with five belt loops, a metal button on the waistband, a zippered fly, quarter pockets on each side, a small pocket within the right quarter pocket, two back patch pockets with flaps and magnetic closures, cargo pockets on each leg with flaps and magnetic closures, two elastic strips sewn to each cargo pocket, overlaid fabric at each knee, and hemmed leg openings with drawstring closures. The rate of duty is 27.9 % ad valorem. Duty rates are provided for your convenience and are subject to change.
