Dear Mr. Crago: In your letter dated January 14, 2008, you requested a tariff classification ruling. Item number A002AA00057 is a microfiber car duster. The duster is 12 inches long with a polypropylene handle and a duster head composed of polyester microfiber yarn. The applicable subheading for the duster will be 9603.90.4000, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS), which provides for "Brooms, brushes (including brushes constituting parts of machines, appliances or vehicles), hand-operated mechanical floor sweepers, not motorized, mops and feather dusters; prepared knots and tufts for broom or brush making; paint pads and rollers; squeegees (other than roller squeegees): Other: Feather dusters."
