Dear Ms. Arroyo: In your letter dated April 10, 2007, you requested a tariff classification ruling. As requested, the sample will be returned to you. Your submitted sample, style YT3853 is a girl’s T-shirt constructed from finely knit 100% cotton jersey fabric. The tight fitting garment features a crew neck, short sleeves and a hemmed bottom. The item has a photo montage design accented with glitter. The applicable subheading for style YT3853 will be 6109.10.0045, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS), which provides for T-shirts, singlets, tank tops and similar garments, knitted or crocheted: of cotton, women’s or girls’: other: T-shirts: girl’s. The rate of duty will be 16.5 percent ad valorem. Duty rates are provided for your convenience and are subject to change.
