International Inc. 457 Crossen Avenue Elk Grove Village, Illinois 60007 RE: The tariff classification of badge holders from China Dear Mr. Crook: In your letter dated May 23, 2006, you requested a tariff classification ruling for badge holders, on behalf of Global Traders & Suppliers, Inc. The samples submitted were not identified with style numbers. The items are badge holders for use as a means of identification. They are manufactured with an exterior surface of man-made fiber textile material coated with polyvinyl chloride (PVC) on the inside. They measure approximately 4½”(W) x 5½”(H) with an adjustable braided strap, which allows the user to hang the holder from the neck. The holder features a clear front pocket for the ID, a rear zippered pocket to hold a pad or other stationery items and a penholder loop. Your samples are being returned. The rate of duty will be 17.6% ad valorem. The badge holders fall within textile category designation 670.
