Box 1199 Williston, VT 05495 RE: The tariff classification of three decorative lead crystal paperweights from China Dear Ms. Marcoux: In your letter dated April 6, 2006, you requested a tariff classification ruling. Three representative samples were submitted with your ruling request. The product in question is described as “Diamond Ring Paperweight” – item numbers 55080/Blue Circle Stone, 55082/Clear Circle Stone and 55084/Pink Heart Stone. The item is a lead crystal paperweight that resembles a diamond ring. It will be imported in a blue or clear round glass stone or a pink heart-shaped glass stone. The measurements for each paperweight are approximately four inches in height by three inches in diameter. You indicated in your letter that each glass stone (blue, clear and pink) contains 24 percent lead monoxide by weight. The rate of duty will be 6 percent ad valorem. Duty rates are provided for your convenience and are subject to change.
