A representative sample of the item was submitted with your ruling request. The submitted sample, which you identified as “Bon Bril Esponja Abrasivo Regular”, consists of a green nonwoven manmade fiber pad containing silica abrasive attached to a yellow polyurethane foam sponge. The measurements are approximately four inches by two inches. The applicable subheading for the scouring pad/sponge will be 6805.30.5000, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTS), which provides for natural or artificial abrasive powder or grain, on a base of other materials: other. The rate of duty will be free. This ruling is being issued under the provisions of Part 177 of the Customs Regulations (19 C.F.R. 177). A copy of the ruling or the control number indicated above should be provided with the entry documents filed at the time this merchandise is imported.
