You submitted a sample of a Spring Shackle Bracket – Part Number F81A-5785-HC. The brackets are made of cast iron. General Products Corporation states that the part will be used on the rear spring shackle (part of the suspension) of a Ford truck. The applicable subheading for the Spring Shackle Bracket will be 8708.99.5200, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTS), which provides for Parts and accessories of the motor vehicles of headings 8701 to 8705: Other parts and accessories: Other: Other: of cast iron. The rate of duty will be Free. This ruling is being issued under the provisions of Part 177 of the Customs Regulations (19 C.F.R. 177).
