An ingredients breakdown was submitted with your letter. HT Trader Balsamic Dressing is said to be composed of approximately 71 percent extra virgin olive oil and 29 percent balsamic vinegar. It will be imported in glass bottles containing 8.5 ounces or 16 ounces, net weight. The applicable subheading for the balsamic dressing will be 2106.90.9060, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTS), which provides for sauces and preparations therefor…other…other…other. The rate of duty will be 6.6 percent ad valorem. This ruling is being issued under the provisions of Part 177 of the Customs Regulations (19 C.F.R. 177). A copy of the ruling or the control number indicated above should be provided with the entry documents filed at the time this merchandise is imported.
