The submitted samples, style number, SSTG1201, are a girl’s blouse and shorts set made of a 100 percent cotton plaid fabric. The sleeveless blouse features a round neckline with a three button back closure, a slightly flared hemmed bottom with two front vents, and three buttons sewn just above each vent. The shorts feature a waistband with elastic in back, short hemmed leg openings, side panels with drawstrings to tie in front, and a non-functional button on each side panel near the waist. Both garments will be imported in toddler girls’ sizes 2T to 4T. Style number, SSTG1202, consist of a girl’s blouse and divided skirt made of A 100 percent cotton plaid fabric. The sleeveless blouse has a Peter Pan collar of plain fabric, a right over left front opening with a four-button closure, and an adjustable tie bottom. The divided skirt has a waistband with elastic in back and short hemmed leg openings. A textile panel is attached at the right side seam and the waist and extends across the front of the garment. The rate of duty is 8.4 percent. The samples will be returned to you as requested. The blouses of both styles fall within textile category designation 341. The shorts of style number, SSTG1201, fall within textile category designation 348, and the divided skirt of style number, SSTG1202, falls within textile category designation 342. Based upon international textile trade agreements, products of Bangladesh are subject to quota and the requirement of a visa. The designated textile and apparel categories and their quota and visa status are the result of international agreements that are subject to frequent renegotiations and changes. To obtain the most current information, we suggest that you check, close to the time of shipment, the U.S. Customs Service Textile Status Report, an internal issuance of the U.S. Customs Service, which is available at the Customs Web Site at WWW.CUSTOMS.USTREAS.GOV. In addition, the designated textile and apparel categories may be subdivided into parts. If so, visa and quota requirements applicable to the subject merchandise may be affected and should also be verified at the time of shipment. This ruling is being issued under the provisions of Part 177 of the Customs Regulations (19 C.F.R. 177). A copy of the ruling or the control number indicated above should be provided with the entry documents filed at the time this merchandise is imported.
