As indicated by the submitted descriptive literature, the coaxial cable, designated RG 59/U, is a coaxial cable of either a standard shield construction or a quad shield construction. The standard construction consists of a center conductor, a dialectric of foam polyethylene, a braid shielding, and a PVC jacket. The quad construction is identical except that there are two braid shieldings. The applicable subheading for the RG 59/U coaxial cable will be 8544.20.0000, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTS), which provides for coaxial cable and other coaxial electric conductors. The rate of duty will be 5.3 percent ad valorem. This ruling is being issued under the provisions of Part 177 of the Customs Regulations (19 C.F.R. 177). A copy of the ruling or the control number indicated above should be provided with the entry documents filed at the time this merchandise is imported.
