Dear Ms. Smith: In your letter dated June 10, 1998, you requested a tariff classification ruling. The submitted catalog page depicts the sample you intend to import as stock number 94479. It is an animated "Main Street Village". The village is decorated with Christmas trees, Christmas lights and street lights with wreaths. This article features three old time Sears store fronts, a sleigh with two riders and 15 or 16 other figures which move or twirl. This animated Christmas holiday village scene plays 12 Christmas melodies. The applicable subheading for the "Main Street Village", will be 9505.10.2500, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTS), which provides for...articles for Christmas festivities and parts and accessories thereof: Christmas ornaments: other, other. The rate of duty will be free. This ruling is being issued under the provisions of Part 177 of the Customs Regulations (19 C.F.R. 177). A copy of the ruling or the control number indicated above should be provided with the entry documents filed at the time this merchandise is imported.
