Purcell Neville, Peterson & Williams 80 Broad Street New York, NY 10004 RE: The tariff classification of a woman's camisole from India Dear Mr. Purcell: In your letter dated October 9, 1997, you requested a classification ruling on behalf of Pioneer Apparel, Ltd. The sample submitted with your request will be returned to you under separate cover. Style 1332B is a camisole constructed from 100 percent polyester woven fabric and has a lining of 100 percent polyester tricot knit fabric. The garment is supported on the body by adjustable shoulder straps measuring approximately 3/8" in width, and covers the torso from the top of the bust to below the waist. The top edge, at the front, is V-shaped, while at the back, it is cut straight across. The bottom edge is finished off with a turned-up hem.
