Dear Ms. Young: In your letter dated July 1, 1997, filed in behalf of Meijer, Inc., you requested a tariff classification ruling. The provided sample will be returned as per your request. The submitted sample, Code # 850024 UPC# 6-14239-05625, is a child's boxing glove. The shell of the glove is made of cellular polyurethane with a man-made fiber knit backing. The entire palm portion and part of the thumb is unlined. The glove features thick textile padding on the back of the hand, a partially elasticized wrist, air vents at the center of the palm, and capping at the wrist.
