You are requesting the tariff classification of toy decorative figures known as "Homespun Scarecrows" and designated as item #971763. Three assorted styles of the item were submitted with your request. The articles are representations of scarecrows with two having identical human faces and one having a pumpkin face. The rate of duty will be free. This ruling is being issued under the provisions of Part 177 of the Customs Regulations (19 C.F.R. 177). Your item designation number for the articles will have to make a distinction for the pumpkin face scarecrow. This will enable the article to be classified accordingly for entry purposes. A copy of the ruling or the control number indicated above should be provided with the entry documents filed at the time this merchandise is imported.
