Dear Ms. Miranda: In your letter dated April 22, 1997, you requested a tariff classification ruling. The submitted sample is identified as Bullion Wire. It is made of copper shavings. This product is designed to be used as Christmas tree decorations. It is draped on the Christmas tree in a similar manner that tinsel would be draped on the tree. This item is packaged in a plastic bag with a header card made of cardboard. The Bullion Wire is composed of a non-durable material and it is not intended for sustained wear and tear. This sample is returned as requested.
