Dear Mr. Taddeo: In your letter dated May 6, 1997, on behalf of Trafalgar Ltd., you requested a tariff classification ruling for a wallet and a drawstring pouch. You have submitted two samples with your request, identified as style number HW900-099, which consists of a "Tommy Hilfiger" wallet and a drawstring travel pouch. The wallet, described as a "zippered wallet" measures approximates 4 1/2" x 5" in its closed position. The wallet is composed of an exterior surface of cellular plastics with a knit fabric backing. The drawstring travel pouch, described as a "wallet bag", measures approximately 5 1/4"(W) x 6 1/2"(H) designed to contain small personal effects during travel. The rate of duty will be 20 percent ad valorem. This ruling is being issued under the provisions of Part 177 of the Customs Regulations (19 C.F.R. 177). A copy of the ruling or the control number indicated above should be provided with the entry documents filed at the time this merchandise is imported.
