Dear Mr. Ice: In your letter dated April 15, 1994, on behalf of Maurices, Inc., you requested a tariff classification ruling for a travel bag. The sample submitted, style SB177, is a multi-colored travel bag said to be composed of cornhusk plaiting material. The bag has a textile lining and measures approximately 12 inches in width and 13 inches in length with an oval base. The item, similar to a rucksack in design, has a side leather carrying strap and the top is secured by means of a leather drawstring closure. Your sample is being returned as you requested.
