Item R12236, Lauder GWP Fragrance, is a cosmetic bag. The item is approximately 7"x 4" x 2 1/2", has a nylon zipper top closure, grosgrain piping along zipper and a diamond embossed PVC lining. The outer surface is a textile, 52% Ramie 48% polyester. You indicate that the principal use of this bag will be to hold cosmetics. Your sample is being returned as requested. The applicable subheading for Item R12236 will be 4202.92.2000, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTS), which provides for travel, sports and similar bags, with outer surface of textile materials, of vegetable fibers and not of pile or tufted construction, other. The rate of duty will be 6.5 percent ad valorem. Item R12236 falls within textile category designation 870. Based upon international textile trade agreements, products of China are subject to visa requirements and quota restraints. -2- The designated textile and apparel category may be subdivided into parts. If so, visa and quota requirements applicable to the subject merchandise may be affected.
