Dear Mr. Sandler: In your letter dated September 27, 1990, you requested a tariff classification ruling. The submitted sample, a diskette holder, is constructed of a man-made textile material and measures 9 1/4" x 5" when opened and 4 1/2" x 5" when folded. The article has two pockets for holding diskettes and is secured by means of a hook and loop fastener. The applicable subheading for the diskette holder will be 4202.32.9550, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTS), which provides for articles of a kind normally carried in the pocket or in the handbag, with outer surface of textile material, other, other, of man-made fibers.
