McGehee, Traffic Manager House of Lloyd, Inc. 11901 Grandview Road Grandview, MO. 64030 RE: The tariff classification of a wicker wall shelf from China. Dear Mr. McGehee: In your letter dated April 10, 1990, you requested a tariff classification ruling. The furniture is a white wicker wall shelf, style number 291062. It consists of a rattan frame with two shelves and is designed to be hung on the wall or to be placed on the top of the counter. It is intended for use as a bathroom accessory. The dimensions are approximately 20" H x 6-1/2" W x 13-1/2" L. The applicable subheading for the rattan wall shelf will be 9403.80.3010, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTS), which provides for furniture of other materials, including cane, osier, bamboo or similar materials: of rattan: household. The rate of duty will be 7.5 percent ad valorem. This ruling is being issued under the provisions of Section 177 of the Customs Regulations (19 C.F.R. 177). A copy of this ruling letter should be attached to the entry documents filed at the time this merchandise is imported.
