Slauson Ave. #150 Culver City, CA 90230 RE: The tariff classification of a golf cart with bag from Sweden Dear Mr. Walles: In your letter dated November 14, 1995 you requested a tariff classification ruling. The item concerned is a two-wheeled, collapsible, aluminum and stainless steel cart with an attached rectangular bag. The cart has an L-shaped grip handle and built-in bottle opener and towel hook. The bag has separate lengthwise tubes in its interior, and attached to its exterior are a peg-and penholder, a wrist bag, an umbrella holder and four front pockets. The stated purpose of the cart and bag are to, respectively, transport and carry golf clubs and golfing accessories. The applicable subheading for the KinBag golf cart with bag will be 8716.80.5090, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTS), which provides for . . . other vehicles, not mechanically propelled . . . : Other vehicles: Other: Other: Other. The rate of duty will be 3.2% ad valorem. This ruling is being issued under the provisions of Section 177 of the Customs Regulations (19 C.F.R. 177).
