Dear Mr. Heck: In your letter dated June 6, 2006 you requested a tariff classification ruling. The item in question is a wireless transceiver denoted as model number WIDI-X8. This device serves as a duplex wireless transceiver musical interface. It enables music to be transmitted and received from a computer to a MIDI device. It operates on the 2.4Ghz band with a range of up to 80 feet. NY Ruling R03437 provides guidance in this matter. Classification will be accordingly.
