The merchandise consists of various sizes of couplings used to connect hoses. Series 324 and 411 are made of nickel-plated brass. Series 414 is made of chrome-plated brass. Series 326 is non-plated brass. We assume that the couplings do not contain valves or shut-offs. The applicable subheading for all of the brass couplings (item numbers 324, 411, 414, and 326) will be 7419.99.5050, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS), which provides for other articles of copper, other. The rate of duty will be free. Your inquiry does not provide enough information for us to give a classification ruling on coupling series 412, which is made of nickel-plated steel and brass. Your request for a classification ruling should include a breakdown by weight of the steel and brass portions of this coupling. When this information is available, you may wish to consider resubmission of your request.
