Dear Mr. Crago: In your letter dated March 6, 2006, you requested a tariff classification ruling. A photograph was provided with your letter. The Quick Touch CD Tray is designed to hold up to 60 CD’s. It is composed of plastic and measures 6 inches in width by 11 3/8 inches in depth by 6 ¼ inches in height. The tray, which is enclosed on all sides, slides open when the middle of the front drawer is pushed. The applicable subheading for the Quick Touch CD Tray will be 3926.10.0000, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS), which provides for other articles of plastics…office or school supplies. The rate of duty will be 5.3 percent ad valorem. Duty rates are provided for your convenience and are subject to change. The text of the most recent HTSUS and the accompanying duty rates are provided on World Wide Web at http://www.usitc.gov/tata/hts/. This ruling is being issued under the provisions of Part 177 of the Customs Regulations (19 C.F.R. 177).
