Descriptive information was submitted. The article in question is described as a bracket, part number 01012926, manufactured solely for use in Culligan brand water softeners. The bracket is designed to support the lower axis of a timing cam within an electric control valve. The applicable subheading for the bracket will be 8481.90.9080, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS), which provides for other parts of taps, cocks, valves and similar appliances. The rate of duty is free. Duty rates are provided for your convenience and are subject to change. The text of the most recent HTSUS and the accompanying duty rates are provided on World Wide Web at http://www.usitc.gov/tata/hts/. This ruling is being issued under the provisions of Part 177 of the Customs Regulations (19 C.F.R. 177).
