The merchandise is steel handles used on a passenger door assembly of a heavy truck. The first handle, part number 50270-3404, is used on the interior side of the door and serves to actuate the door’s locking mechanism via the lock rod. The second handle, part number 680 760 00 70, is used on the exterior side of the door assembly and actuates the door’s locking mechanism. These door handles do not contain locks or latch assemblies. They are merely the handles that actuate the lock rods, which in turn actuate the door’s latch.

The merchandise is steel handles used on a passenger door assembly of a heavy truck. The first handle, part number 50270-3404, is used on the interior side of the door and serves to actuate the door’s locking mechanism via the lock rod. The second handle, part number 680 760 00 70, is used on the exterior side of the door assembly and actuates the door’s locking mechanism. These door handles do not contain locks or latch assemblies. They are merely the handles that actuate the lock rods, which in turn actuate the door’s latch. The rate of duty will be 2 percent ad valorem. This ruling is being issued under the provisions of Part 177 of the Customs Regulations (19 C.F.R. 177).
