The item at issue in this request is an automotive overhead console assembly, identified by part number P708. The overhead console is comprised of a molded plastic base onto which numerous electrical switches, two dome/map lights, a sunglasses compartment, and several indicator lights are mounted. The entire assembly is finished with a color-matched molded bezel with cutouts for the various switches and lights. There are dedicated switches used to control the dome/map lights, moonroof, and interior dome/door lamp functions, along with a series of auxiliary switches that can be used to control optional accessory equipment such as auxiliary light bars, snowplows, winches, pumps, and similar equipment.

The item at issue in this request is an automotive overhead console assembly, identified by part number P708. The overhead console is comprised of a molded plastic base onto which numerous electrical switches, two dome/map lights, a sunglasses compartment, and several indicator lights are mounted. The entire assembly is finished with a color-matched molded bezel with cutouts for the various switches and lights. There are dedicated switches used to control the dome/map lights, moonroof, and interior dome/door lamp functions, along with a series of auxiliary switches that can be used to control optional accessory equipment such as auxiliary light bars, snowplows, winches, pumps, and similar equipment. This ruling does not address the applicability of any additional duties, taxes, fees, exactions and/or other charges, which may apply to the goods discussed herein. Thus, for example, in addition to the classification stated above, the merchandise covered by this ruling may also need to be reported with either the Chapter 99 provision under which an additional tariff applies or one of the Chapter 99 provisions covering exceptions to such tariffs.
