The granules are harvested from the hive and undergo a basiccleaning process to remove debris.The pollen will not be mixed with any other product or further processed beyond its natural granular form.It is packaged in glass jars for retail sale and is intended for direct human consumption.You suggest classification of the product, unprocessed bee pollen granules, in subheading 0511.99,Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS). This includes, but is not limited to, tariffs and otherduties as provided for in Subchapter III to Chapter 99, HTSUS. In the event that the facts are modified in any way, or if the goods do notconform to these facts at time of importation, you should bring this to the attention of U.S. Customs andBorder Protection (CBP) and submit a request for a new ruling in accordance with 19 CFR 177.2. Additionally, we note that the material facts described in the foregoing ruling may be subject to periodicverification by CBP.This merchandise is subject to The Public Health Security and Bioterrorism Preparedness and Response Actof 2002 (The Bioterrorism Act), which is regulated by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
