Revefenacin, is a long-acting muscarinic antagonist, which is also referred to as an anticholinergic. It is used to treat chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), including chronic bronchitis and emphysema. In your letter, you stated the Revefenacin will be imported as the active pharmaceutical ingredient and used in the manufacture of Revefenacin Solution for Nebulization 0.175 mg/3 mL. The applicable subheading for the Revefenacin in bulk form will be 2933.39.4100, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS), which provides for “Heterocyclic compounds with nitrogen hetero-atom(s) only: Compounds containing an unfused pyridine ring (whether or not hydrogenated) in the structure: Other: Other: Drugs: Other.” The rate of duty will be 6.5 percent ad valorem. Currently, Revefenacin is not listed in the Pharmaceutical Appendix to the Tariff Schedule. Duty rates are provided for your convenience and are subject to change. This merchandise may be subject to the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act and/or The Public Health Security and Bioterrorism Preparedness and Response Act of 2002 (The Bioterrorism Act), which are administered by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
